Pulau Besar, Mersing

Pulau Besar is one of the hidden gem.. silalah bercuti ke sana. Actually selepas dah habis PKP, we were excited la bila tengok ramai yang up gambar holiday. Mostly, ke pantai Terengganu. Kalau dah ramai yang bercuti, memang mostly tempat-tempat holiday tu, dah sold out ya. Memandangkan dah lama tak keluar rumah, excited la memasing nak tukar angin.  Niat tu nak ke Terengganu, but since, we have to plan betul-betul, cuti, masa perjalanan, so we decided nak explore pulau-pulau area Johor sahaja. Search on the intenet, we came across Pulau Besar or dikenali sebagai Pulai Babi Besar. After doing a litte research, we found out, usually, pulau-pulau ni akan tutup for tourist after bulan October and bukak balik around Mac, April macam tu. So tinggal la date yang paling terdekat, hari hol Johor. 

Macam mana nak ke Pulau Besar? 

Pualau Besar ni actually, access from Mersing Harbour atau Pelabuhan Penumpang Mersing yang terletak betul-betul area bandar. Just waze nanti, insyaallah sampai la. kami bertolak pukul 9.30 pagi macam tu. Dari rumah kami, perjalanan mengambil masa 2 jam 30 minit. Bot bertolak dari jeti ke Pulau Besar around pukul 12/12.30. Sepatutnya kena keluar awal sebab nak beli tiket bot, nak kena settlekan urusan dengan Aseania and park kereta. Especially, kalau musim cuti, maka ramai orang, jadi mungkin akan sukarkan sikit proses pencarian tempat parking kereta dan tak kelam kabut semua. So, kt bawah ni bot yang kami naik. Lebih kurang muat untuk dua keluarga.

 

Beli tiket untuk boat transfer/Park kereta

Time sampai ke area Pelabuhan Mersing tu, memang ramai la orang and kita akan tercari-cari location untuk kita collect/purchase tiket bot, park kereta and tempat menunggu bot/jeti tu. Kena tahu dulu booth untuk resort kita tu sebab ada banyak sangat. Ada yang untuk ke Pulau Tioman, Pulau Rawa. Sebabkan dah terlambat sampai, my husband go to the jetty area untuk purchase tiket. Actually, if beli from resort itself, tiket untuk boat transfer tu dah included. But since kitaorang beli from Agoda, so kena asingkan duit untuk bayar bot transfer. Untuk harga bot transfer, around 90 macam tu for two ways. Kitaorang kena add on since waktu beli fom Agoda, tak keyin berapa ramai guest. So, kena tambah harga guest asing. Rasanya, untuk kami 5 beranak, herga boat transfer plus harga add on bed semua, dalam 600-700, Roughly. Seems forgetten dah.

Kalau untuk park kereta, awal-awal sampai, ada rela yang jaga untuk kita park. But then, dia suruh kami park ada area parking kereta awam. But, kitaorang tak prefer since mcm takde gated and rasa tak secure (our preference), so I was pusing around. Maka terjumpa la tempat parking kereta bersebelahan Jabatan Laut Mersing. RM 15/per day and tempat park dalam kawasan gated, berhampiran dengan jeti penumpang. Untuk 3 hari, we paid RM45. Sangat mudah, kawasan besar and rasa secure. 

Aseania Beach Resort

Masyaallah, sangat cantik pantai dia. Aseania ni one of the oldest resort di Pulau Besar. Ada lagi resort yang baru, boleh check from google also. The best part of Aseania, dia punya spot tu sangat cantik and for us, the best spot untuk mandi-mandi and do tourist activities. The downside, the cleanliness of the room, but it can be improving. Maybe resort lama takde pengunjung due to covid. Staff pulak, sangat baik. rata-rata, memang ramah. Others, okay la kot. Kitaorang datang after PKP, jadinya takada buffet. Boleh check from kaunter, what is the menu of the day. Price wise and not so much choice but as usual, kalau kt pulau, of course harga double/a bit expensive. For us, untuk breakfast, kita tak ambik kecuali hari nak balik, sebab takut anak-anak lapar sebelum jumpa kedai makan kat area Mersing. Bawak la jajan/ air tin/ any food yang nak bawak sebab, time cuti ni biasa lapar je.

The view, masyaallah. memang the best. Memang heaven untuk anak-anak. Kena pulak, masa kitaorang sampai (late September), cuaca mendung/hujan but tak hujan. haa u guys boleh la imagine, mandi tengh hari, but tak kena sunburn (we also applied sunscreen, mind you). Best sangat cuaca. Tak terlampau terik and tak la hujan. Berbahang tu biasa la kan kalau stay area pantai ni. Activities, mostly memang mandi pantai and mandi kolam. Oh kami try jugak kayaking. Boleh pusing-pusing but then, dengan anak, risau jugak nak tinggal kan. Sudahnya, pusing-pusing area pantai depan resort je la. Itu pun dah best. Hahaha..

Activities around Pulau Besar

Biasa ramai yang sewa basikal untuk pusing-pusing area pulau, or trekking, hiking. Memandangkan dengan 3 orang anak kecik, kitaorang just sewa basikal (RM 10 per hour) and jalan-jalan sekitar pantai saja. Basikal sangat banyak, dont worry. Cuma kalau nak basikal yang fancy, ada raga untuk bayi, basikal best, memang kena chop awal. hehe.. untuk pengalaman jungle trekking/ hiking, tak dapat la nak cerita sebab kami tak join. But then, aktiviti kami ni penuh dengn acara mandi pantai, main pasir. Kanak-kanak mana la reti duduk diam. kejap-kejap ajak mandi, kejap-kejap pusing rumah. Aseania resort macam rumah kampung zaman dahulu, ada aircond, ada Tv, hot shower. Tv tu tak ada channel la ya, u guys kena rent thumbdrive then cucuk on your tv. Bayar deposit. After dah pulangkan thumbdrive, dapat la balik duit tu. hehehe..cerita pun yang biasa-biasa saja, boleh a hilangkan rasa boring anak-anak bila malam ni.

Overall, suka sangat bercuti kat Pulau Besar. Dah habis bercuti, tetiba kena lock down balik. Tak kemana la kita sambil tengok balik gambar-gambar ni. Bestnya tengok air yang jernih ni..

the three days weekend

on 14th sept we had a three days vacation, an impromptu one.

husband was visiting me after 2 weeks.

however, we don't have any proper plan

fetch him at 6 am in the morning

and perform our subuh at Shell Juru

then we drove to undecided-place while thinking where is the best place to catch up some time

and then, here come the idea.Cameron Highlands

he once told me that he really wanted to sighseeing Cameron as he never been there.kesian suami mak.haha

so, we make a u-turn at Georgetown and decided to have a breakfast at Nibong Tebal

pusing-pusing cari kedai makan and doing some observation

we had our roti canai and nasi lemak

then off to have some urgent matter

at 10 am, we started our journey.(i even called my mom to confirm where to exit at the highway)

i think this is first vacation since our honeymoon.

at 3pm, we already reached pekan Brinchang with heavy traffic there

crowded dengan pelancong i tell you

then off to find a place for one night stay

kalau dah nama public holiday, mana nak dapat hotel harga murah

as the rain making its appearance, semua pun dah kelam kabut cari tempat nak singgah

at last, we found a place at pekan Tanah Rata

and off to have an early dinner as we both didnt have proper lunch

sepanjang makan husband keep complaining bout the hotel

i thought its only him yang banyak sangat ragam.haha..

but after see it with my eyes, patut la.macam bilik pelac*r.scary sangat.

biliknya, alahai muat katil queen.siap ada tingkap nakong lagi.hahahahaha..seriously!!

but i guess, semua tempat dah penuh, so tourist grab je mana yang ada kan

that budget hotel penuh je dengan family.siap nampak pak aji lagi menyewa situ

so husband said, pak aji pun sanggup, so he guess we should be doing ok la kan.hahahaha..

malas nak keluar sebab sejuk.tapi, sebab tak sanggup duduk bilik yang macam tu, laju je bersiap.haha

siap husband compare kesejukan tu macam dekat Beijing la.pfft!menyampah..over sangat tau

so, on the way back, baru la singgah kea farm and others farm la

ala, bukan nya boleh bawak balik pun kan.

dari dulu lagi teringin nak melawat ladang teh and memang requested, nak p melawat

tempat lain tak kesah sebab dah pernah p kan

so asek kejar la signboard Boh tea plantation tu, signboard dah la tak banyak.

siap google lagi nak tengok address dia.

ingatkan dah salah masuk jalan sekali bila dah terlepas tu baru perasan.cisss!!!hangin betol

tapi dah rezeki kot  as we saw a sign of Bharat tea plantation.

after that, at 3pm, we both headed back to Nibong Tebal.

next days, we just lepak hotel tengok tv.wahahhaa..

rasa macam tak nak p lagi short trip macam ni.

and i really really teringin nak p Grand Lexis PD tu.

dekat sikit kalau nak drive from Johor.

just to spend a time with husband. 

but, can't really squeeze through our time. we both been extra busy.grrr...

and i haven't go back to JB almost 2 months.rindu dengan rumah sendiri dah membuak-buak ni.

oh sabar..2 weeks only bebeh!lepas tu boleh dating sampai lebam.

our honeymoon

From previous post,i was head-over-heels with Pulau Lang Tengah.

but if Redang or Perhentian, it's well known right
actually, dia berada kt tengah-tengan between this 2 island
Pulau Lang Tengah is like a private island

very small and not so happening like Pulau Perhentian or Pulau Redang

 see, kecik je kan

at first, rasa macam nak pergi Pulau Perhentian je

but, I think for honeymoon

we prefer a little privacy to have fun and nak relax je kan

and have some rest before having another reception for his side

lagipun, takut sunburn.hehe.so, no snorkeling or what so ever.

fuh, kalau berdua ja tak berbaloi kot. kalau ramai, yes la

but, mungkin rezeki kawen, tetiba dapat naek private boat.yeayy

even laut macam tenang ja tapi sangat bumpy sampai dua-dua diam.kahkah..

bukan sebab takut tapi bising enjin speed boat la.macam mana nak bergelak ketawa.hehe

 sampai je terus excited sebab sukaaa gila dengan jeti dia.

tapi malu pulak nak bagi bawak plastik bag berisi megi cup.kahkah

inilah jeti kayu idaman.but it's actually much more beautiful in real life

it's luxurious resort.very comfy and private.

 sampai je, while check in, we were given mango juice as welcome drinks.sejuk tekak i tau!

even check out is at 2 pm, nasib ada room yang available.terus boleh check-in

we booked full-board package included lunch, dinner and breakfast

senang sebab we never know kan.rasa bagus la decide begitu.hehe..kata private kan?

mana nak cari nasi goreng tengah-tengah hari kat situ?

tapi, yang bagusnya, ada banyak package la kat resort tu.
either nak breakfast or lunch.

bilik dia sangat ohsemm!! with king size bed, jacuzzi, plasma tv and hugee toilet

ha kau, memang asek berendam jacuzzi la gamaknya.haha..jakun la dua-dua budak kampung ni kn

actually, ada banyak activities

like snorkeling, jungle tracking, island hoping tapi, we both tak join pun

petang-petang, we go along the sea-side

mandi pantai. tapi banyak corals la.sakit kaki nak pijak
selalu mandi port yang sama saja sebab terlindung sikit
tapi, hari nak balik, ombak adalah sangat kuat
tengok-tengok, port sudah tenggelam.huhu

malam lepas dinner, jalan-jalan dekat jeti sampai ngantuk

actually, ada sorang staff dia yang sangat baik. siap offer nak bawa pergi tengok ikan tidor

around pukul 11 la biasanya.tapi, lepas dinner ngantuk gila!!kahkah..

basically, memang relax sajalah during honeymoon ni

kerjanya asek makan and tidoq and lepak.

This resort pulak macam ada private beach.kiranya, memang penghuni resort saja
so tak ramai sangat orang. tak de la segan bila nak berdua mandi-manda kan.
but, seriously, the water is so blue!

the food is so yummy. you can either dine at the restaurant or room
nanti, dia akan packed, and hantar
pernah we both late for breakfast sebab bangun lambat
at 10 am, dedua lapar. terpaksa husband p cari jugak makanan
hehe..balik-balik ja, penuh tangan. so, takde la straight sangat kenn
and oh, this resort has 24 hrs  electricity
mind you, ada yang akan cut electric to save cost

so this is our honeymoon yang we both will never forget, insyaAllah..
hope, we will having another vacation for two of us.hehe

on the road

right after the wedding,

we straight away going for our honeymoon

haha..sebabnya husband ada cuti free for one week

taknak membazir cuti, 

so that,we were planning our honeymoon on that particular week

rasa macam seminggu jugaklah we both on the road

from 4th June to 8th june

hari isnin, bertolak dari perlis at 2 pm

lewat rasanya, dengan husband yang tak pernah drive ikut jalan baling, tawakkal sajalah

sebabnya, husband adalah teringin nak makan di Anjung Keli

eh, wife pun sama.kahkah

selepas dah melahap, terus mulalah our first road trip together

i think it's best for newlywed pergi ke tempat yang both tak pernah pergi

so that, boleh explore sama-sama

it's like, very challenging and adventurous

ha time ni la nak kenal husband 

is it he was a panic atau or very calming person

ataupun marah-marah ka??

nasib maps dalam phone ada

i don't like gps yang tau bg direct je.bossy gitu,hehe

i prefer gps yang ada maps tu

so that, boleh tengok keseluruhan tempat

senang rasa sebab dapat catch up if terlepas jalan kan

alhamdulillah, we both takde la tersesat

terlepas jalan sekali kot, eh dua kali.hehe

first stop, Gurun.to perform our prayer

then continue Baling-Pengkalan Hulu-Gerik-Jeli

at 7pm, dah sampai Jeli

rasa lega sebab, jalan ke Kelantan challenging kn

susah nak cilok and banyak lori

but, maybe it's not weekend,

jalan smooth.

then terus ke Machang, Jertih

at 11pm, we both sampai kt Jeti Merang

the boat akan bertolak around 10 am

jadinya, takkan nak tidor dalam kereta kot

we both decided untuk cari budget hotel

search on tenet, we found Merang Suria Resort

affordable and within budget.

ada 2 single bed, tv, bathroom inside, sejadah and coffee pot

so, boleh la untuk satu malam kan

 excluded the breakfast

ala, minum coffee pun dh cukup ken??

 save budget katanya.kahkahkah

itu adalah perjalanan sehari

road to Jetty Merang

Mari bermakan-makan di Hatyai

Woot woot!this is a backdated entry.haha..Just so, I can looked back and remember our holiday.hehe..

Last Deepavali, we(moi n family) were having so much fun at Hatyai. Located about 1 hr from Padang Besar, this is the place where u can shop the latest street fashion, eat and having fun. Getting there, there are 3 main gates where u can enter Hatyai (doesn’t count the gates from other state, Kelantan etc.haha), either from Wang Kelian, Pdg Besar or Bukit Kayu Hitam. Enter through Wang Kelian, u will reach west coast and take about 2-3 hrs before reach Hatyai, while from Bukit Kayu Hitam, whoever from the south peninsular Malaysia, advised to enter from this gates as it will save ur time. We were here so many times but never cared to sleepover.

At first, we planned to have a night stay at Hatyai, and the next day going to Park Bara for lunch. However, a minor mistake came up and we have to wait at the border nearly for 1hr...Well, next time, follow the rules people! And don’t worry if u are the first timer. Signboard are everywhere in Thai n Eng, definitely will reach there. Checking at the Regency hotel.

Recommended if you want to stay at the centre of the city. Lots of shopping complex, stall hawker, shop lot, bazaar and it just 5mins from the market. However, the id is just okay, but the hot water didn’t function and they didn’t allow us to book a room as we came with 5 adult and a baby.hehe..cheapskate I know! hahaha…the receptionist is not so friendly, but the butler is best! help us and I guess it’s just his work right. But never mind, as this is only a short trip, and was sponsored by younger brother so I have nothing to complain =)

After refreshing, we walked to nearest restaurant for dinner dine. It’s a Muslim restaurant and nearly every worker knows BM. We order sweet-sour ikan siakap, kalian ikan masin, tomyum, telur bungkus. Take a stroll around the city as it offers many selection of clothes, fresh fruits, foods well..stuffs. I think u may found something suit ur taste. Some tips, only bargain if u want it. After a while, the rain started to pour down. We decided to stay at the hotel. Bought pulut ayam, pulut durian and pulut manga.hehe..remember, this trip is about eating out!

The next day, we headed for breakfast at the same restaurant last night. Not so many restaurant are opened in the morning and the nearest to the hotel is the only Salma. They have variety of morning selection like roti canai, nasi lemak, nasi goreng. All are delicious! After that, we go to the market by tut-tut , taxi, being called in Thailand. The price for ex like clothes, really cheap compare to padang besar, like 100baht diff. some shops accept RM but some are not!

Afternoon, we go to Samila beach, just to take a pic with the most popular mermaid! hehe..and see the serpent that they called as ‘nag’. The body being sculpt in 3 diff segment, the head, body and tail and at diff location. So basically, you have to drive along the beach just to locate the serpent! Hee..

All of us were too hungry, haha..lunch at restaurant Chekkar. I must say that, Malaysian love this place as it have very good ambient, the food was delicious but a bit pricy, well it all worth your money. They also accommodate the mussola at level 3.

While enjoying our lunch,Hana was poopoo.haha..however, we run out of the diapert! we rushed to the nearest Lotus Tesco and did a little shopping for miss Hana. And, so many things are interesting.All baby wears are so cute. So hard to resist until we ran out of Baht! haha..

Food for the people

This was a very great experience! You get to enjoy the city, foods, people however, the most important the great company! Love this. Hope that, next time, we'll visit somewhere with the whole company!
